A television camera belonging to Clar TV-5 has been seized by the Liberia National Police.

The equipment was forcefully taken away from TV journalist on Tuesday at the Temple of Justice where the reporter had gone to cover the appearance of suspended acting Monrovia City Mayor Mary Broh.

The Camera was left with the Police after it was knocked on the ground by LNP officers during a scuffle with journalists.

The Police prevented journalists from photographing and recording Madam Broh's appearance at the Temple of Justice where she was barricaded by angry residents who intended to carry out citizen's arrest.

After the camera was seized by riot police officers, it was placed in the possession of the Deputy Chief of Information, Communication and Computer Technology at the Liberia National Police, Chief Superintendent N. Israel Leo Tay.

The camera is in the custody of the police at its headquarters on Capitol Hill.
