…Over Secret Recording Saga
Credible information gathered by The NEWS has revealed that the Montserrado County Legislative Caucus is planning to suspend its Chairman, Representative Edward Forh.

A Legislative source confided in this paper last week that the Caucus is embarrassed by the secret recording which appears to be undermining the credibility of lawmakers from the county and the entire legislature.

Our source did not state the specific time that the Caucus intents to suspend Rep. Forh, but added that the decision could be taken upon his return from the United States of America, where he reportedly traveled on sabbatical.

A secret recording in the possession of various media institutions in the country has revealed chilling account in which Rep. Forh was heard incriminating himself.

Rep. Forh is quoted in a telephone conversation between him and the suspended Montserrado County Superintendent Grace Tete Kpan as instructing her to enter into a 'clandestine deal' to divide the amount of US$400,000 intended for the development of Montserrado County.

In the recording, Representative Forh is quoted as telling Superintendent Kpan that “The money in question must be divided among us; you eat some, I eat some, and the minister eats some.”

During the telephone conversation, Superintendent Kpan told Rep. Forh that she was afraid. However, Mr. Forh in reply added: “If you're afraid, I will eat your own,” a comment which forced a smile from the Superintendent.

On the audio recording, Rep. Forh is heard making his request to divide the Liberian people's money, Mrs. Kpan said.

However, addressing a press conference last week at the Capitol, Representative Forh denied the allegation and challenged the Superintendent to play the 'secret recoding'.

He confirmed listening to the recording, but declined to say whether the voice in the recording was his. But Superintendent Kpan insists that the voice in the 'secret recording' was that of Representative Forh.
