Senator Praises LNP For Conducive Environment

Senator Armah Jallah of Gbarpolu County has congratulated the Liberia National Police for the security measures put in place during the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
Senator Jallah who is the Co-Chairman on National Defense, Security, and Intelligence at the Liberian Senate praised the gallantry of the Liberia National Police for its contributions to the peace, security and the protection of the state in the wake of inadequate logistics.
A letter addressed to Police Director Chris Massaquoi stated “surely you are doing tremendously well, especially in the wake of being inundated with a barrage of security problems,”
Senator Jallah said he was moved by the courage displaced by the Liberia National Police during the celebrations of the holiday seasons which led to a peaceful celebration thereby leading to massive decline in armed robbery and other crimes.
He said with the level of successes scored by the LNP, it was now obvious that most of the criminals who perambulate the communities at night, subjecting citizens to intimidation are no longer active as a result of stringent measures put in place by the police.
The Gbarpolu County lawmaker added “indeed, this was a magnificent decision by your administration that provided the desired result; this has added more laurels to the force, and I'm overwhelmed by this and can assure you and the gallant men and women of the Liberia National Police of my support in all security measures required under the constitution of Liberia intended for the safety of the citizens and our partners in progress.”
At the same time, several civil society organizations in the country have commended the LNP for the restrictions on the movement of motorcycles in Monrovia and its environs after 10:00 p.m.
The groups said the introduction of the measure was a welcoming development as it has led to the reduction of crimes in the country especially armed robbery.
