The Liberia Marketing Association (LMA) Montserrado County chapter in District #2 has officially endorsed the representative candidacy of Father Nimely Donyen of the Liberia Transformation Party (LTP).
Father Donyen, a contender for the district was recently endorsed by the marketers due to his immense development initiatives undertaken in the district.
In their endorsement statement, Mr. Augustine Taylor, who spoke on behalf of his colleagues said their decision is triggered by the manner in which Father Donyen has helped to develop the district in recent times.
According to him, Father Donyen is the only representative candidate who has single handedly constructed nine market buildings aside from other meaningful developments undertaken over the period.
Mr. Taylor said district two market peddlers have been seriously suffering from selling spots in the community thus compelling them to sit under the sun and rain to earn their livelihood.
Although, he did not accuse the incumbent, neither other contestants for the Presidency or representative, however, he opined that candidate Donyen has touched the lives of the people residing in the district and beyond.
He mentioned that most of the aspirants usually come with lots of promises saying: “vote me today for better tomorrow” which he said is not reliable of individuals who will become successful to the electorate.
Responding, candidate Donyen said before his participation in the electoral process, he has provided free educational tent for school going children from ABC to high school level.
The representative candidate said few years ago, he provided pipe borne water for residents of district two and that since the National Election Commission (NEC) pronounced campaign activities, he was able to construct eight market buildings and renovated another and further constructed bridges and among other projects.
He told the LMA officials that following his victory on October 10, 2017, he will in January 2018, hold workshop at the various market buildings in the district for individuals wishing to take loan.
The LTP Representative candidate said plans are underway to give out loan ranging from US$1,000 as starter to the process after the completion of the workshop.
