A group of rural women in electoral district #4, Margibi County has promised to support Representative Ben A. Fofana during the pending representatives election.
The women said since his ascendancy, representative Fofana has and continues to support women empowerment.
The women, through their President Esther J.S. Clarke, said they have decided to support the Margibi County electoral district #4 Representative second term bid because he has lived up to his 2011 campaign promises to the rural women in Margibi.
Madam Clarke named the purchase of land, construction of a guest house for rural women as well as the Margibi Chapter of the Women in Peace Building Network WIPNet, among other things.
“Let me say this, our Representative has over the years think fast by looking at key things he promised during his campaign, this is while we have decided to support his second term bid,” Madam Clarke Said.
She said the rural women of Margibi County, specifically electoral district #4, did not make a mistake in 2011 by electing Rep. Fofana as their lawmaker considering the many good things he has done.
Also speaking, the female Town Chief of Vartika town in district#4 Madam Mitta Sankolo said, Rep. Fofana, through the Legislative Support Project, constructed a town hall that is now being used by the citizens.
For her part, the women advisor of Lackata town Esther Ricks also boasted of the construction of a police depot in their area by the Margibi County lawmaker.
She said before the construction of the police depot, crime rate in their area was high, thereby making the people to live in fear.
Other projects completed in the district by Rep. Fofana include Sherman Farm Peace Hall, an extension of Cuttington Junior College annex, Jambo Village Community Bridge connecting Gio community, and Peter Sayklon orphanage school extension project, among others.
