President Ellen Johnson- Sirleaf has made additional appointments in government affecting the Ministries of Agriculture, Foreign and Internal Affairs, the Forestry Development Authority and the Liberia Intellectual Property Office.
According to an Executive Mansion release, those appointed include Mr. Aaron G. Marshall, Deputy Minister for Technical Services, Ministry of Agriculture; Mr. Norwood Langley, Director, Program Management Unit, Ministry of Agriculture and Ms. Deroe Davis-Weeks, Assistant Minister for Planning & Development.
At the Forestry Development Authority (FDA), the president appointed Mr. Bowen L. Sayon, Deputy Managing Director for Operations.
The Liberian leader also appointed former Maryland County Senator John Ballout, Ambassador, State of Qatar.
At the Liberia Intellectual Property office, those appointed include Attorney Roosevelt Gould, Director General; Attorney Fanta Conte-Barclay, Deputy Director General for Copyright and Attorney Rufus Moore, Deputy Director General for Industrial Property.
In Grand Kru County, Joe M. Sekpeh was appointed Assistant Superintendent for Development, while in Bong County, Francis Gbelawoa goes as District Commissioner, Suakoko District.
Meanwhile, the release said these appointments are subject to confirmation by the Liberian Senate where applicable.
